Still licking their fingers after a sweet victory at the 2010 Pan in The 21st Century competition, Clico Sforzata Steel Orchestra hosted a thanksgiving service and pan jamboree at its Evans Street, Curepe, panyard on July 25 in commemoration of its 35 years in existence.

The band started off the celebrations with it's rendition of Empire State of Mind, Liberian Girl, Hands of Lightning, Bad and All Inclusive. Joining in the celebrations were fellow steel pan bands, Valley Harps Steel Orchestra, Couva Joylanders, Caribbean Airlines Invaders, and LH Pan Groove. Also in attendance was the president of Pan Trinbago, Keith Diaz.

According to Sforzata's captain, Trevor Reid, winning was not something new to the band, as it had won the medium band category at the national level in 2006, 2007 and 2009. In 2008, it was also the first prize winner at the Point Fortin borough day celebrations. Reid said Sforzata's main objective in the near future was to build a steel pan camp for the community.

On July 12 the band started a youth camp, which involved teaching participants the theoretical and practical aspect of playing the national instrument. Angelo Marcelle
