Gov­ern­ment has ac­quired 12 orig­i­nal paint­ings done by the late T&T artist Michel Jean Caz­abon at an auc­tion in Lon­don.

Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Min­is­ter Max­ie Cuffie, speak­ing at yes­ter­day's post-Cab­i­net press con­fer­ence at the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter, St Clair, said arrange­ments were be­ing made for the paint­ings to be re­turned to T&T and be on show at an ex­hi­bi­tion next year.

He said the art work, bought at an auc­tion in Oc­to­ber at Christie's Auc­tion House, was part of T&T's her­itage.

New board ap­point­ments

North West Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty (NWRHA) would be chaired by Lisa Agard, for­mer man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Guardian Me­dia Ltd. Oth­er mem­bers are Gir­ja Tewary, Joel M�rtinez, Dr Adelle Chang-on, Deb­o­rah Lewis, Dr Ian Ram­nar­ine and Ms Mar­garet Chow.

The NCRHA will be chaired by Marie Ay­oung-Chee and in­clude as mem­bers Elvin Ed­wards, Dr Roger Ramjohn, Yvonne Bullen-Smith, Stew­art Smith, Ran­dolph Clouden, Steve De Las and Renu­ka Sagram­s­ingh-Sook­lal.

The Na­tion­al Main­te­nance Train­ing and Se­cu­ri­ty Com­pa­ny Lim­it­ed (MTS) board will be chaired by Jack­ie Lazarus and in­clude as mem­bers Kei­th Mc­Don­ald (deputy chair­man), Ian Ford, Rosan­na McKen­na, Aver­line Scott, Michael Mo­hammed and Rose Ra­moutar.

The Sol­id Waste Man­age­ment Com­pa­ny Lim­it­ed (SWM­COL) will be chaired by Shamshad Mo­hammed and have as mem­bers Eliz­a­beth Hamil­ton, Al­ban Scott, Steve Wal­dron, Rishi Lakhan, Ran­dolph Ram­per­sad, Mar­lon Mor­ris, Al­li­son Hall and Ron Adams.
