Police still butting heads with 'Goat'

Man want­ed for two mur­ders still on run

Po­lice yes­ter­day con­tin­ued their search for the per­son of in­ter­est in the mur­ders of Shar­lene Charles and Salma Chadee.Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, the man is want­ed for ques­tion­ing in con­nec­tion with the killing of his es­tranged wife, Ma­han­g­oo-Charles, who was shot mul­ti­ple times on May 8, 2014.

The man, who goes by the alias "Goat", is still on the run and has been deemed as the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion's most want­ed man. It is al­leged fol­low­ing an ar­gu­ment on Sat­ur­day night, the man shot Chadee twice in the chest and es­caped.Azad Ali, the man who po­lice say can as­sist with their in­ves­ti­ga­tion, got in­to an ac­ci­dent on De­cem­ber 1, at Kel­ly Vil­lage Ca­roni.He broke both of his legs in the ac­ci­dent and us­es a wheel­chair to get around. His legs from just be­neath the knees to the toes are in a cast.

Ali was tak­en to the Er­ic Williams Sci­ences Com­plex (EWM­SC) by emer­gency health ser­vices with­out any po­lice es­cort.Ac­cord­ing to the re­port, filed in the po­lice sta­tion di­ary, which was ob­tained from Ian Al­leyne, host of Crime Watch, the re­port con­firmed po­lice were able to iden­ti­fy Ali at the scene of the ac­ci­dent and al­lowed him to be tak­en to the EWM­SC with­out be­ing es­cort­ed by po­lice.

The re­port said Ali was seen ly­ing on the is­land on the West­ern side of the St He­le­na By­pass Road. A black Rx8 was seen crashed on the same side of the road.He was first tak­en to the Ari­ma Health Fa­cil­i­ty and from there to the EWM­SC.Oth­er doc­u­ments showed that the sus­pect checked out of the EWM­SC on De­cem­ber 1, 2014 where he had been sent af­ter the ac­ci­dent.

Fur­ther, the doc­u­ments in­di­cate that Ali was re­leased from the hos­pi­tal against med­ical ad­vice and that "the pa­tient and his rel­a­tives stat­ed that they pre­fer the pa­tient be seen at a pri­vate fa­cil­i­ty and not at the hos­pi­tal," the doc­u­ment stat­ed.The med­ical doc­u­ments al­so stat­ed that the pa­tient and his rel­a­tives were con­cerned that he may have in­curred a spinal in­jury and they pre­ferred that he be tak­en to a pri­vate health fa­cil­i­ty, us­ing the fam­i­ly's trans­port.

The "Re­lease Against Med­ical Ad­vice" EWM­SC's doc­u­ment, was signed by Ali at 12.35 pm, just un­der one hour af­ter Ali was tak­en from the ac­ci­dent scene to the EWM­SC.
