Sampath said: "He is an international palyer, he will lend a lot to the team." T&T is hoping Pollard will continue his top form with the bat as the team is looking for back-to-back wins.

In the last round T&T crushed Jamaica by 179 runs at Sabina Park, Jamaica behind performances from Kjorn Ottley and Imran Khan.

Ottley was unfortunate not to get his maiden first class century when he was dismissed for 99 in the second innings, while leg spinner Khan grabbed eight wickets in the match.
