Wallace said: "You young cricketers, those of you with a dream in your heart, you have to take risks, positive ones. Dream beyond the imaginable in order to achieve success beyond the attainable."He added: "Your vision of your future as a cricketer must not be confined in a suffocating box of limitations. How do move from being just good to great? The good news is that the power of greatness lives within each of us."

Wallace stated that in life sometimes your biggest challenge is yourself. "Many times your opponent is never really the player on the other side of the net, or the swimmer in the next lane, or the team in the next dressing room, your opponent is yourself. There would be times when you feel that life has dealt you an unfortunate hand, but accept the faith and move on."
