Defending champion UTT led by Daystar Swift recorded a famous 41-38 win over Defence Force as action continued in the Courts All Sectors Netball League, on Saturday.
Swift scored 19 goals from 24 attempts while Janelle Barker and Jillisa Allan supported with 10 and 12 goals, respectively.
The university did well initially to contain the attack of Army, with leads 15-8 and 22-17 at the end of the first two periods. UTT continued to dominate up until the end of the third quarter, when it led 33-24, before Defence Force had its best spell of the match. Defence Force managed to cut the deficit from nine goals to three but in the end, a defiant UTT held on for the big win.
Defence Force's national goal-attack Anastasia Wilson, continued to impress with 30 goals, from 43 attempts, just four goals shy of her tally in the previous match.
