Per­mis­sion to ex­press my dis­gust with the be­hav­iour of the com­mit­tee of the Bel­mont Old Style Sailor (The Boss). The peo­ple of Bel­mont over the years have made great con­tri­bu­tions to T&T in the fields of ed­u­ca­tion and cul­ture.

My main con­cern to­day is the mas out of Bel­mont, where cer­tain stal­warts rep­re­sent­ed the com­mu­ni­ty in Car­ni­val–Ken Mor­ris, Jim Hard­ing, Cor­bie, Ja­son Grif­fith and Harold Salde­nah. In pan there were Dem­for­tu­nates, Sat­is­fiers, Am­boys and Oaksville.

All pre­sent­ed mas of class, but as time went by the mul­ti­tude de­plet­ed, leav­ing the last rep­re­sen­ta­tive The Boss Old Style Sailor, man­aged gra­cious­ly by the late Churchill George.

Since the pass­ing of Mr George last Car­ni­val, the band is now be­ing run by a com­mit­tee of geri­atrics, a word used by an ex­ec­u­tive mem­ber on TV on Car­ni­val Tues­day, caus­ing a split.

I am now call­ing on all mem­bers of The Boss to stop this non­sense. Bring back the fam­i­ly and let's con­tin­ue our win­ning ways. My mom once said tongue and teeth will clash but they can­not do with­out each oth­er.
