Premiership leader Alescon Comets will be looking to extend its lead when the team travels to face struggling Seenath's Auto Bamboo today at Bamboo in Round Four of the T&T Cricket Board's National Cricket League Premier Division two-day competition.
Comets is coming off a rest, as it was scheduled to face Wanderers last weekend. The match was never played because Wanderers is still protesting and has not played a match all season. Bamboo is in tenth place in the 12-team table and looking to grab its first win.
In another match up between two struggling teams, 11th-placed F&E Diamond will face ninth-placed HKL Aranguez at Aranguez. Both teams are coming off losses. F&E Diamond was crushed by Merry Boys by an innings and 11 runs and Aranguez fell to Moosai by six wickets.
Caldrac Club will be the away team when it tackles Esmeralda. Caldrac will be looking to continue its current form. Behind Dane Teelucksingh's match figures of 10/97 and Franklyn Rouse's unbeaten 90 in the first innings it defeated Bamboo by six wickets last weekend.
At Syne Village, Powergen will try to get its season back on track when it battles FCB Clarke Road. After defeating Diamond by an innings and 89 runs in round one, Powergen has drawn two straight. Powergen will welcome back Samuel Badree to their line-up. Badree has returned to the team following his call-up to the West Indies to face Zimbabwe in the T20 series.
All matches start at 10 am.
