Pre­mier­ship leader Ale­scon Comets will be look­ing to ex­tend its lead when the team trav­els to face strug­gling Seenath's Au­to Bam­boo to­day at Bam­boo in Round Four of the T&T Crick­et Board's Na­tion­al Crick­et League Pre­mier Di­vi­sion two-day com­pe­ti­tion.

Comets is com­ing off a rest, as it was sched­uled to face Wan­der­ers last week­end. The match was nev­er played be­cause Wan­der­ers is still protest­ing and has not played a match all sea­son. Bam­boo is in tenth place in the 12-team ta­ble and look­ing to grab its first win.

In an­oth­er match up be­tween two strug­gling teams, 11th-placed F&E Di­a­mond will face ninth-placed HKL Aranguez at Aranguez. Both teams are com­ing off loss­es. F&E Di­a­mond was crushed by Mer­ry Boys by an in­nings and 11 runs and Aranguez fell to Moo­sai by six wick­ets.

Cal­drac Club will be the away team when it tack­les Es­mer­al­da. Cal­drac will be look­ing to con­tin­ue its cur­rent form. Be­hind Dane Teelucks­ingh's match fig­ures of 10/97 and Franklyn Rouse's un­beat­en 90 in the first in­nings it de­feat­ed Bam­boo by six wick­ets last week­end.

At Syne Vil­lage, Pow­er­gen will try to get its sea­son back on track when it bat­tles FCB Clarke Road. Af­ter de­feat­ing Di­a­mond by an in­nings and 89 runs in round one, Pow­er­gen has drawn two straight. Pow­er­gen will wel­come back Samuel Badree to their line-up. Badree has re­turned to the team fol­low­ing his call-up to the West In­dies to face Zim­bab­we in the T20 se­ries.
