Daystar Swift had a near per­fect shoot­ing per­for­mance as the Uni­ver­si­ty of T&T cooled off de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Fire Ser­vice 42-35 in their Courts All Sec­tors Net­ball League Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion Steve Sar­jeant Chal­lenge at the East­ern Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na, Tacarigua, on Mon­day night.

Goal shoot­er Swift end­ed with 34 goals from 39 at­tempts and goal at­tack Jil­lisa Al­lan, eight from 19, as UTT led at the end of all three quar­ters 11-9, 23-18 and 39-26.Afeisha Noel led Fire Ser­vice with 20 goals from 30 at­tempts and for­mer na­tion­al play­er Si­mone Mor­gan got 15 from 24 for Fire, which de­feat­ed Po­lice in its ti­tle-de­fence open­er, last week.

Mean­while, TSTT re­mained on course for an­oth­er ti­tle in the Retro Di­vi­sion af­ter crush­ing Les Femmes 20-9 in their knock­out semi­fi­nal in­spired by De­bra Alie's 15 goals from 21.In the fi­nal, TSTT will come up against CCS which proved too much for Harlem, trump­ing them 14-6 af­ter pip­ping Les En­fants 11-9 in the lone quar­ter­fi­nal. To­mor­row Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion knock­out starts at 5.30pm.
