Sharpe leads water polo boys past Jamaica

Kryz­tien Sharpe fol­lowed up his sev­en goal out­ing, in­clu­sive of five penal­ties in T&T's de­mo­li­tion of Ba­hamas 15-4 with a six-goal burst hard fought 15-12 win over host Ja­maica when wa­ter po­lo ac­tion con­tin­ued on Sat­ur­day at the 28th edi­tion of the Caribbean Free Trade As­so­ci­a­tion Cham­pi­onships, at the Na­tion­al Sta­di­um Pool, In­de­pen­dence Park, Kingston, Ja­maica on Sat­ur­day night.

Joseph Her­rera added four valu­able goals for T&T while David West net­ted three and Adam Alex­is, two in the win to push T&T's record o 2-0.

Team man­ag­er Shel­don Bhawanie speak­ing af­ter the win said it was a hard fought game with the teams be­ing even through the first three quar­ters". It was on­ly in the last quar­ter that T&T came alive with hole at­tack Sharpe and hole de­fense Her­rera stuff­ing in three apiece.

The young T&T team had to fight for every inch as the Ja­maicans played a smart game, but in the end T&T's mo­men­tum was too much for the Ja­maicans to with­stand.
