Chief of Defence Staff, Brigadier General Roland Maunday, is now the holder of a Master's degree in human resource management. He graduated from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business last January 21. This recent accomplishment is just one of several academic achievements by Maunday who also holds a diploma in marketing and a post graduate diploma in human resource management. He is also a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth Kansas, USA.
A statement yesterday said Maunday has consistently pursued academia since 1989 in addition to his theoretical and technical professional military requirements and has always held a keen interest in the field of managing human resources. During his 34-year military career, he has been able to successfully implement human resource management strategies that have significantly benefited the men and women of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force.
After almost three and a half decades of service to Trinidad and Tobago, Maunday would officially hand over command of the Defence Force to Brigadier Kenrick Maharaj in March.
