Po­lice emerged cham­pi­on of the Al­ter­na­tive Di­vi­sion Fast­net com­pe­ti­tion in the Courts All Sec­tors Net­ball League on Sun­day at the East­ern Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na in Tacarigua. The po­lice of­fi­cers met TSTT in the fi­nal and came away with a hard-fought 17-14 vic­to­ry. Po­lice reached the fi­nal by putting down Pris­ons, al­so by a three-goal (20-17) mar­gin in the semi­fi­nal round. In the oth­er semi­fi­nal match, TSTT made light work of Costaatt, beat­ing them 16-5. Shoot­ing for Po­lice were Giselle Nor­ton-Richards and Tracey Reg­is in the newest vari­a­tion of the game which fea­tures short­ened match­es and goals worth mul­ti­ple points.

In the ear­li­er rounds, Po­lice first got by T&T Hos­pi­tal­i­ty and Tourism In­sti­tute (TTHTI) with ease, 35-5, then stopped even­tu­al fi­nal­ist TSTT, 18-13. TSTT's oth­er win on the day came over TTHTI, whip­ping them, 32-0. This evening, teams will com­pete for top ho­n­ours in the Courts Open knock­out com­pe­ti­tion. On Thurs­day, teams in the Cham­pi­onship Di­vi­sion will en­gage in their Fast­net com­pe­ti­tion.
