The new chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of Dig­i­cel T&T is John Delves. His ap­point­ment will take ef­fect in April. He re­places Niall Dor­ri­an, who has been CEO of Dig­i­cel T&T since 2007. Dor­ri­an will be tak­ing up the role as in­ter­im CEO of Dig­i­cel Pana­ma. In a state­ment, Dig­i­cel said that Delves, cur­rent­ly the gen­er­al man­ag­er, Dig­i­cel OECS North. Pri­or to that, Delves was CEO of Dig­i­cel Van­u­atu.

The telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions group said Delves has been re­spon­si­ble for pro­pelling out­stand­ing growth in terms of cus­tomers and dri­ving rev­enues. "In his new role, he will bring to bear the wealth of ex­pe­ri­ence and knowl­edge he's ac­quired dur­ing his tenure at the helm of our T&T busi­ness.

"In what is a high­ly com­pet­i­tive en­vi­ron­ment, he was able to dri­ve five years of fan­tas­tic growth and achieve­ment in terms of cus­tomer num­bers and rev­enues. Cus­tomer con­fi­dence was am­pli­fied un­der his watch, al­ways de­liv­er­ing on Dig­i­cel's com­mit­ment to best val­ue, ser­vice and net­work and to giv­ing back to its com­mu­ni­ties.

"A fo­cus on in­no­va­tion and unique pro­mo­tions are some of the defin­ing as­pects of his lead­er­ship, dur­ing which time there was a quan­tum leap in sub­scribers to da­ta plans and cor­po­rate client ac­qui­si­tions. He leaves in his wake, a strong team and a com­pa­ny poised to take Trinidad and To­ba­go in­to the next cut­ting-edge phase of telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions," read the Dig­i­cel state­ment.

Dig­i­cel Group Ltd is present in 31 mar­kets in the Caribbean, Cen­tral Amer­i­ca and the Pa­cif­ic.
