Fol­low­ing a Fri­day night lime at a pop­u­lar night club in San Fer­nan­do, a 19-year-old woman was gang-raped by a group of men. Re­ports are that around 5 am yes­ter­day, the vic­tim who re­sides at Thomas Street, San Fer­nan­do, left the South­ern Edge Night Club at La Ro­main, in the com­pa­ny of three men. She had on­ly known the men by see­ing them around.

She told po­lice that she was tak­en to a house at Ria Ram­nar­ine Dri­ve, Tarou­ba, where the men held her down and took turns hav­ing sex­u­al in­ter­course with her, against her will. The vic­tim was then dropped off a short dis­tance away and she pro­ceed­ed to the Mara­bel­la Po­lice Sta­tion where she filed a re­port.

She was then tak­en to DMO for the area, Dr Ra­goo­bar where a med­ical re­port was ob­tained. Po­lice searched the Mara­bel­la and Tarou­ba dis­trict for the men but were un­suc­cess­ful. WPC Cal­en­dar is con­tin­u­ing in­quiries.
