Almawi Limited The Holistic Clinic has formed an alliance with the Diabetes Association of Trinidad and Tobago (DATT) to assist in providing foot health services for members of the Association. From Tuesday, a clinic will be in operation at DATT's headquarters, 17-18 Success Street, Chaguanas. It will be open Tuesday–Friday, from 9 am–4 pm.

Established in December 2004, Almawi's, recently rebranded as a holistic clinic, suite of services has expanded. People with diabetes and seniors are two groups specially catered for. The clinic's managing director Alma Thompson explained: "Our focus on diabetics in particular is as a result of the high incidence of the disease in our family.

"In fact, my mother lost both legs in one year, and subsequently died from complications associated with the disease. It was a trying time for me, as I had to take care of her for a number of years while handling a very demanding job." In the clinic's attempt to contribute directly to DATT's mission to educate and motivate people on a national level, its three senior employees, including the managing director have become lifetime members attached to the San Juan, Arima, and North West branches respectively.

Members of the public can call 662-1732 for further details, or visit the clinic's Web site at www.almawiclinc.com.
