Va­len­cia po­lice of­fi­cers said a rapist had bro­ken in­to the homes of sev­er­al sin­gle women liv­ing along the Va­len­cia Old Road with­in the past month. How­ev­er, law­men said they did not have a de­scrip­tion of the per­pe­tra­tor who has been stalk­ing the Va­len­cia com­mu­ni­ty.

In the first in­ci­dent, a woman was asleep in her house when she awoke around 2 am and found a man ly­ing on top of her. The man told her he had a knife and would kill her if she re­fused to com­ply with his de­mands. The woman sat up and kicked her at­tack­er out of her bed and start­ed to scream, po­lice said.

The man ran away. With­in two hours, and less than 100 me­tres away, the same man went to an­oth­er house and re­peat­ed the act. A re­port said the vic­tim awoke to find a man on top of her and fought him off. The at­tack­er then stole some cash and ran off, po­lice said.

At the end of last year there were sev­er­al re­ports of sex­u­al as­sault in the com­mu­ni­ty. Se­nior of­fi­cers are urg­ing peo­ple who live in the area to make sure their homes are se­cured.
