Haitian club Baltimore was granted a spot in the Caribbean Football Union Club Championship Second Round after it was declared the best runner-up from the three first round group series. Playing in group three in Port-au-Prince, Haitian club Victory claimed top honours with a win over Bayamon FC of Puerto Rico (5-1) and a draw with Baltimore, (1-1). Baltimore finished runner-up in the group after it won over Bayamon 2-0 and since groups one and three both had a team withdrew, leaving them with three teams each compared to four teams in group two, the results of the last-place team in Group two-Milerock-were voided and the standings recalculated. That reduced Alpha United from six points to three in Group Two, same as Elite from Group One but one point behind Baltimore. The two other qualifiers from the first round were Suriname's Inter Moengotapoe and Georgetown of the Cayman Islands.
Inter Moengotapoe won group two with victories over Alpha United (1-0), and Milerock (7-1) of Guyana and Hubentut Fortuna (3-2) of Curacao, while Georgtwon defeated Elite (2-1) and drew 0-0 with North Village Rams in group one. In the second round, Georgetown and Baltimore will join previously seeded sides Puerto Rico Islanders, the two-time defending champion, and T&T's Caledonia AIA in group four to be played in Puerto Rico from May 19-26. Victory and Inter Moengotapoe will next play T&T's W Connection, a four-time tournament winner (2001, 2002, 2006, 2009) and two-time runner-up (2000 & 2003), and Antigua's Barracudas for their round-robin series in T&T in group five from May 4 to 11. The top two from each second-round group will advance to a four-team final round, but only the professional clubs: the Puerto Rico Islanders, Caledonia AIA, W Connection and Barracudas will be eligible for the three berths in next season's Concacaf Champions League per tournament regulations.
