Budding cricketers have been invited to attend a screening session for Under-13 cricketers in the North Zone of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (T&TCB). Top North Zone official Stephen Martel said on Wednesday that the first session which will give the youngsters a chance to impress the selectors will be staged on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Queen's Royal College ground, St Clair Avenue, St Clair. The sessions are scheduled to start at 3 pm and will be conducted by manager of the North Zone Under-13 team David Thomasos and coach Kelvin Sukhu.
Martel said all aspiring North Zone Under-13 cricketers should avail themselves of this opportunity to show their skills as the zone seeks to build a platform to challenge for national honours across all age categories. Among the top cricketers to have emerged from the North Zone are world record holder Brian Lara and the talented Bravo brothers, Dwayne and Darren.
