ANSA Fi­nan­cial Ser­vices and CIBC First In­ter­na­tion­al Caribbean Bank un­der­scored their com­mit­ment to the cor­po­rate so­cial re­spon­si­bil­i­ty con­cept on Ju­ly 21, by part­ner­ing with the CARE Foun­da­tion (Com­plete As­sis­tance Re­spect Equal­i­ty) for an event called An Evening of Re­flec­tion, held at the Im­mortelle Cen­tre, St Ann's Gar­dens, St Ann's. An­ton La Fond is head of the non-prof­it or­gan­i­sa­tion which prides it­self on pro­mot­ing re­spect for the dis­abled in T&T, through ad­vo­ca­cy, aim­ing to ed­u­cate the pop­u­lace about chal­lenges ex­pe­ri­enced by peo­ple with dis­abil­i­ty when so­ci­ety fails to pro­vide fa­cil­i­ties to im­prove their lives. An Evening of Re­flec­tion was held in ob­ser­vance of the na­tion's 50th An­niver­sary of In­de­pen­dence with the pre­sen­ta­tion of awards to ath­lete Dwight Year­wood and Bhawani Per­sad, found­ing mem­ber and first pres­i­dent of the T&T Blind and Vi­su­al­ly Im­paired Crick­et As­so­ci­a­tion. Posthu­mous awards were pre­sent­ed to me­dia pre­sen­ter Allyson Hen­nessy and so­cial ac­tivist George Daniel for their out­stand­ing work in the dis­abled com­mu­ni­ty.
