Rayan­na Mon­segue is the new Miss Ari­ma Bor­ough Pageant Royale Queen. The 17-year-old beat 11 oth­er con­tes­tants to win the cov­et­ed ti­tle, at the O'Meara, UTT Cam­pus on Sat­ur­day night. The event was part of Ari­ma Fest, a cel­e­bra­tion of the 124th an­niver­sary of Ari­ma be­ing de­clared Bor­ough. De­spite the ear­ly tech­ni­cal dif­fi­cul­ties and the 80-minute late start, the show ran rather smooth­ly. The stage props in­clud­ed two white minia­ture build­ings and a repli­ca of the Ari­ma Di­al. En­ter­tain­ment was pro­vid­ed by the Kiss Na­traj Dance group and ca­lyp­son­ian Skatie. The event was co-or­di­nat­ed by coun­cil­lor Flo­ra Singh.
