What do President George Maxwell Richards and Second Place SEA student Shemiah Grant have in common??They were both invited to share their aspirations for the ANSA McAL?time capsule. The official sealing took place at Tatil Building, Maraval Road,?Port-of-Spain, on August 18. The ceremony coincided with T&T 50th anniversary celebrations.It is expected to be opened in 2062. About 104 people were chosen to share their aspirations for T&T from fields including law, entertainment, sport, politics, business, academia and scholarship. At the official ceremony, specially invited guests observed the ceremonial sealing. Participating in the sealing ceremony were ANSA?McAL Group chairman and chief executive officer?Norman Sabga, Minister of Planning and Sustainable Development Dr Bhoe Tewarie, Port-of-Spain Mayor Louis Lee Sing and former prime minister Basdeo Panday.
The group's chief operating officer Gerry Brooks, lauded prominent personalities who had shared their aspirations. Literature was distributed to guests which contained short bios and colour portraits on 71 people who had contributed.
Some, like Prof of Medicine Surujpal Teelucksingh, sportscaster Alvin Corneal and designer Meiling Esau were present. Though absent, broadcaster David Elcock, artist Donald Jackie Hinkson, entertainers Machel Montano and Rikki Jai, journalist Peter Blood and Sir Edwin Carrington, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Caribbean Community, shared their vision for building a just and equitable society. The late Dr Eric Williams' aspiration was shared by his daughter Erica Williams Connell. Ace pannist Jit Samaroo and Nobel Prize winner for Literature VS Naipaul had been asked to contribute to the patriotic exercise. Novelist Earl Lovelace, renowned for Salt and Wine of Astonishment, shared his thoughts on the progress and pitfalls of society.

He graduated in 1991 with a BA theology (Hons)?earning the Colin and Pearl Prize for Doctrine. In 1992, he obtained a Diploma in pastoral studies, taking the St Catherine's and St Mark's prize for preaching. He was elected as a deacon in 1992. He was consecrated as Bishop in 2011.
T&T first rocket scientist Camille Alleyne
She is a licenced private pilot who was a finalist in the 2004 Astronaut Selection Programme. She is the first female Trinidadian astronaut and has dedicated her career to the advancement of aero space technology and promoting the role of space exploration. She is currently working on her doctorate in the area of Education Leadership at Houston University. She is founder and president of the Brightest Stars Foundation.
Dr Nasser Mustapha president general of the Trinidad Muslim League
He holds a Phd in Sociology from the University of the West Indies and is currently head of Behavioural Sciences, at St Augustine Campus. He is a member of the International Sociological Association and the Caribbean Studies Association.

and bandleader Roy Cape
He is the founder and leader of Roy Cape All Stars. He began his music career almost 49 years ago, developing the art he learnt in the orphanage, where he spent part of his early childhood. He received the Hummingbird (Gold)?for his contribution to culture.
Founder of Living Water
Community Rhonda Maingot
The community was founded in 1975 after Maingot had a transforming experience. Living Water is responsible for sending missions to Barbados, Grenada, Russia, St Lucia and Union Island. Maingot is the recipient of the Hummingbird Medal (Gold) in 1986.
