The de­bate on the mo­tion of cen­sure against At­tor­ney Gen­er­al Anand Ram­lo­gan was a big­ger bust than Don­ald Trump's so-called "bomb­shell" against Pres­i­dent Barack Oba­ma in the Unit­ed States this past week. The con­tri­bu­tions from the var­i­ous op­po­si­tion min­is­ters on the cul­pa­bil­i­ty of the AG in the fi­as­co has been, to say the least, very weak and spu­ri­ous.

It was doomed to fail, and the ef­forts by Dr Row­ley and his friends, An­cel Ro­get, Ramesh Ma­haraj and David Ab­du­lah to desta­bilise the Gov­ern­ment of Trinidad and To­ba­go will face a sim­i­lar fate, even if all of their sup­port­ers turn out on No­vem­ber 2, for their tout­ed march.

I am still con­fused as to why has Ro­get giv­en up his job as a trade union leader for that of po­lit­i­cal ac­tivist for the PNM and has now en­list­ed Ramesh Ma­haraj as a tool to ful­fil his po­lit­i­cal pur­pose.
