Cuban Jose Navarro of Team Coco won the 117km Circuit Race through Les Coteaux and Arnos Vale on the second day of the 25th Annual Tobago International Cycling Classic on Thursday. Clocking three hours, 14 minutes and 41 seconds, he finished ahead of USA's Lang Reynolds (Team Passo Prime Beef) and Austria's Stefan Rabitsch (RC Gourmetfein Wels). However, Stage One winner Riccardo Zoidl of Austria managed to hold on to first place in the Division One Standings despite placing seventh.
T&T's Emile Abraham placed 14th and was bumped down two places to fifth in the overall standings after coming third on Wednesday. Local Troy Nelson of Bike Smith Fuji won the 60km Division Two event in 1:39:42, edging countryman Barry Luces (Rigtech Sonics) and Bajan Jamal Eastman (Team Aspire) respectively. The Classic continued yesterday with a 50-Lap race around the Plymouth circuit followed by a 60-Lap Criterium Race in Market Square, Scarborough this morning at 8.30 pm. It will conclude tomorrow with the UCI-certified Tour of Tobago.
