Dar­ryl Trim scored with­in a minute of the start to give St An­tho­ny's their ninth con­sec­u­tive vic­to­ry for the sea­son, af­ter a 3-0 win over Trin­i­ty in the North Zone BGTT First Cit­i­zens Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League, yes­ter­day. The match took place at St An­tho­ny's Col­lege Ground, West­moor­ings, with Trim record­ing his sixth item of the sea­son in the Tigers un­beat­en cam­paign. In the fea­tured match of the day, Fa­ti­ma and East Mu­cu­rapo played to a 2-2 draw with Kai West of Fa­ti­ma and East Mu­cu­rapo Taf­farie Williams both scor­ing a pair of goals for their re­spec­tive schools. Fa­ti­ma took a lead in the 15th minute from a head­ed goal from West, who con­nect­ed from an in­di­rect free kick swung in from Xavi Ra­j­paul from the left side. West could have a hat-trick in the first half, first­ly, on the half-hour mark when, in a sim­i­lar po­si­tion, he head­ed a dri­ven cross from Joshua Ram­doo play­ing on the left wing, and a few min­utes lat­er when from an Arvin Prescott low cross, he skied the ball over-bars with on­ly the goal­keep­er, Dwayne Thomas for East Mu­cu­rapo to beat.

Up 1-0, Fa­ti­ma re­turned in the sec­ond half full of en­er­gy and kept pos­ses­sion for the ma­jor­i­ty of the 45 min­utes. West found his sec­ond in the 63rd minute from an­oth­er head­er, this time a div­ing ef­fort which clipped a Mu­cu­rapo de­fend­er be­fore go­ing in. De­spite Fa­ti­ma's con­tain­ing of the ball, East Mu­cu­rapo was giv­en two op­por­tu­ni­ties in which they cap­i­talised on. The num­ber 9, Williams found the ball in the box in the 74th minute, which he smashed in­to the goal af­ter de­flect­ing off of one of his team-mates. He then found the equalis­er in the 81st minute to stun the Fa­ti­ma sup­port, when again he was giv­en space to shoot in the six yard box. East Mu­cu­rapo will be flat­tered by the re­sult, while Fa­ti­ma can boast of a im­proved per­for­mance from their first leg 3-0 loss to the same op­po­nents. The draw for Mu­cu­rapo put the side sev­en points be­hind St An­tho­ny's with three match­es re­main­ing for ei­ther team. St Mary's won their match against Mal­ick 2-0.
