The Love Movement under the direction of its founder, Bernadette Laughlin-Scott, will present A Feast of Love, Tea Party and concert at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom, Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain, November 6, at 4 pm. This will be the only opportunity the Love Movement supporters will have to experience the love, warmth and wonderful entertainment of this dynamic family of choirs, as there will be no concert at Queen's Hall this year, said Laughlin-Scott.
The 80 voice Lights of Love Children's choir will perform highlights from the Disney musical, the Princess and the Frog, and Heaven's Kitchen. The youth are excited about their contributions which include Jai-Ho from the popular movie, Slumdog Millionaire and Sovereign, an upbeat gospel song.Choreographers, Franchesca Williams-Vazzana and Lesley Lewis-Alleyne, have once again challenged these young people with exciting choreography and dance moves. The senior choir will end the evening with well-known Christmas songs and carols, guaranteed to bring love, joy and peace into everyone's hearts.
On the eve of the Love Movement's 40th anniversary celebration in 2012, they will take the opportunity to launch a commemorative calendar at this tea party. A great effort was made in reviewing thousands of photographs before the final selection of 180. Each month showcases a montage that tells their story from the early years to present. The Love Movement wishes extend a special invitation to its past members to attend this event, where they can reflect and celebrate their love journey over the years. All seats are reserved, and for ticket information contact 714-2230 or 343-4571.
