Hennessy also told the inquiry the police/army outpost next to the Jamaat al Muslimeen's Mucurapo Road compound was a "farce" if convoys of their members were able to leave the property on the afternoon of July 27, 1990 without any suspicion.Criticising the policing of the country then, he asked: "How could one group have imported so much weaponry? How could they have driven out en masse (from their compound)?"Hennessy said the incident has traumatised him to this day and he has become more introverted, suspicious of everybody and bitter. He said he has penned a song about the coup in praise of the protective services who bravely fought the Muslimeen insurgents, called "The Boys in Green."
