Honduras traveled to Miami on Monday where it was to face Haiti on Tuesday and local club Miami FC a day later. They then face the United States on Saturday before traveling to Jamaica on Monday. Panama is in the midst of a Colombia tour against local club teams. "We are getting to the point we want to be in order to compete well at this tournament. The team had a good and very useful training camp in Colombia recently and now we head off to Barbados for another warm up. We expect to match ready by the time we face Jamaica and Guatemala," T&T head coach Shawn Cooper said. He is expected to name his final squad by Friday. Four teams from the Concacaf Final round will advance to the Fifa Under 17 World Cup in Mexico from June 18-July 10.
Ferguson: Rooney, Berbatov like Yorke and Cole
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson isn't worried about Wayne Rooney's lack of goals and believes his partnership with Dimitar Berbatov has the potential to be close to that of Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole. Rooney has netted just three goals this season compared to Berbatov's 20 and Javier Hernandez's 11. "Some of our critics are making a meal out of the fact that Wayne Rooney is lagging behind in the goal stakes. Last year, Wayne benefited from Dimitar's work but this year it is Berbatov enjoying the last touch. If we finish the season with Berbatov scoring 30 and Wayne on ten and those are the targets I have in mind, I will be more than happy. That is what I call a successful strike partnership, reminiscent of Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke," Ferguson said on the weekend.
