So far this sea­son, Joe Pub­lic has won the First Cit­i­zens Cup, a ti­tle which evad­ed them last sea­son, but it has al­so failed to de­fend the FA Tro­phy. Latchoo, who now has the ti­tle as the youngest head coach in the Pro League will get his first test in Toy­ota Clas­sic which kicks off on Feb­ru­ary 11 and the Dig­i­cel Pro Bowl which takes place in March where his club will be de­fend­ing both ti­tles. "I ac­cept the new role pro­fes­sion­al­ly," said Latchoo. "This is the in­struc­tion set down by the di­rec­tors and I'm go­ing to do (it to) the best of my abil­i­ty." Latchoo is al­so look­ing ahead to the two re­main­ing tour­na­ments for the 2010/2011 sea­son and hopes to do well. Mean­while, sources close to the club have al­so stat­ed that the na­tion­al trio of club cap­tain Trent Noel, Nigel Daniel and Makan His­lop have al­so been re­leased by the East­ern Li­ons as they fo­cus on youth for the 2011/2012 cam­paign.
