Every coun­try has an of­fi­cial re­li­gion. What is T&T's of­fi­cial re­li­gion? Chris­tian­i­ty? The sea­son of Lent and East­er is the holi­est and most im­por­tant sea­son in the Chris­t­ian (Catholic) cal­en­dar.

But Ash Wednes­day and the first week of Lent is an ex­ten­sion of Car­ni­val/dis­re­spect to Chris­tians. Car­ni­val will now con­tin­ue in­to Oc­to­ber, to make pa­gan­ism reign in our twin-is­land state. No won­der mur­der is a way of life; even of­fi­cial­ly no big thing.
