Petrotrin Sports Club coached by former West Indies player Raphick Jumadeen continues to lead the standings in the South Zone Senior Division after five rounds.On the weekend, they had the better of San Francique United at the National Cricket Centre (NCC) in Balmain. Batting first San Francique was bowled out for 140 with Keeshan Gopaul getting 44. The man doing the damage for Petrotrin was Theodore Modeste 4/43. Petrotrin then went in to bat and scored 215/7 declared with Kareem Jumadeen, Raphick's son getting 84 and Justin Ballack 54. Former national off-spinner David Sultan found the track to his liking and took 4/32. San Francique batting a second time made 163 with Gopaul getting 42 and Sultan 41. Spinner Nicholas Ramjass took 5/53. Set 89 runs for victory, Petrotrin reached 24/2 when the game was called as a draw at 6pm.
