Pe­tro­le­um en­gi­neer and plant man­ag­er of the Point Lisas Ni­tro­gen Lim­it­ed In­dar Ma­haraj has been ap­point­ed chair­man of the Board of the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA).

Ma­haraj and oth­er board mem­bers were pre­sent­ed with their in­stru­ment of ap­point­ments yes­ter­day by line Min­is­ter Em­manuel George dur­ing a brief cer­e­mo­ny at the min­is­ter's of­fice in St Clair. Join­ing George in the pre­sen­ta­tion of in­stru­ments were per­ma­nent sec­re­tary Jacque­line Gan­teaume-Far­rell and the util­i­ty's chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer Gan­ga Singh.
