Loy­al pa­trons packed the house at Trevor's Edge in St Au­gus­tine on No­vem­ber 26, as the pop­u­lar bar cel­e­brat­ed eight years as a haven for lo­cal tal­ent. The home of Live Jazz, Re­al Tri­ni Thurs­days, Song­shine Open Mic Se­ries, Vin­tage Ka­sio Nights, and the re­cent­ly launched Reel Tri­ni lo­cal movie screen­ings, Trevor's has made its mark as an en­ter­tain­ment spot in East Trinidad.

At the same time, it has main­tained its cozy, com­mu­ni­ty vibe, at­tract­ing area res­i­dents, UWI stu­dents and staff, pro­fes­sion­als and artists, among its reg­u­lar clien­tele. At the an­niver­sary par­ty, in­vi­tees en­joyed com­pli­men­ta­ry eats and the mu­sic of DJs Star En­er­gy, Fly­ing Gal­va­nize Dis­co, The Brain, and Fab­u­lous One and Supreme Sounds. But the main event was the per­for­mance of 3 Canal, who had the place pump­ing with hits like Good Morn­ing, Hap­py Song, Talk Yuh Talk, and Blue. Pan Jazz and Reel Tri­ni lo­cal movie screen­ings con­tin­ue at Trevor's edge on al­ter­nat­ing Sun­days, and there will be live parang mu­sic in the evening on De­cem­ber 18.
