“You are blessed and high­ly favoured,” is the up­lift­ing mes­sage that award-win­ning gospel en­ter­tain­er Alyssa Joseph, 19, is shar­ing through her lat­est re­lease Fa­vor.

Joseph de­clares vic­to­ry in the in­spir­ing new song, which cen­tres on walk­ing in God’s favour even when oth­ers try to block your bless­ings. At a time when many peo­ple are fac­ing un­cer­tain­ty and pres­sure, Joseph of­fers re­as­sur­ance through a mes­sage of di­vine re­ver­sal.

She sings, “They tried to write me off, but the sto­ry changed. When heav­en touched the page, every­thing re­arranged.

“Fa­vor is for any­body who ever felt over­looked, dis­cour­aged or like peo­ple were try­ing to count them out,” says Joseph.

“I want­ed this song to re­mind them that God al­ways has the fi­nal word, and what He has for you can­not be blocked by peo­ple.”

Com­ing in­to her own, Joseph is now part of the Is­land Tribe Col­lec­tive and is rep­re­sent­ed by Twelve18 Col­lec­tive and Flow­Mas­ters Records. She’s among the first young artistes from Trinidad and To­ba­go to re­ceive glob­al dis­tri­b­u­tion through Wings Group, po­si­tion­ing her for a grow­ing in­ter­na­tion­al plat­form as she takes her mu­sic be­yond the Caribbean.

More than a sin­gle, Fa­vor is Joseph’s tes­ti­mo­ny. While some of her pre­vi­ous work called lis­ten­ers to hold on, this re­lease goes a step fur­ther. It stands in the af­ter­math of the strug­gle and de­clares that God can turn set­backs in­to progress.

“This song is re­al­ly about vic­to­ry af­ter pres­sure,” she ex­plained.

“Some­times you go through things that make you ques­tion your­self, but God can flip every painful mo­ment and use it for His glo­ry. That’s the spir­it be­hind Fa­vor.”

She added: “We need more love; there is far too much hate in this world, and we must sup­port one an­oth­er. In every walk of life, whether pro­fes­sion­al, so­cial, or cre­ative, nev­er try to hurt oth­ers to get ahead. In­stead, lift your broth­ers and sis­ters up rather than fight­ing them down.”

Joseph’s in­spir­ing jour­ney has car­ried strong pos­i­tive mes­sages through mu­sic from a very young age. She first gained na­tion­al at­ten­tion at age nine with Cry For Peace, and has since con­tin­ued to build a cat­a­logue of faith-based, mes­sage-dri­ven songs in­clud­ing Don’t Give Up, No Weapon, King­dom Daugh­ter, and most re­cent­ly, Re­vival, a stir­ring call for spir­i­tu­al re­new­al in the face of vi­o­lence and na­tion­al un­rest.

In 2022, she cap­tured both Ju­nior Grand Vo­cal­ist and Ju­nior Grand Cham­pi­on of the World ti­tles at the World Cham­pi­onships of Per­form­ing Arts in Los An­ge­les while at­tached to the Can­dice Clarke Acad­e­my of Dance. She lat­er earned Na­tion­al Youth of the Year and Na­tion­al Youth of Arts and Cul­ture ho­n­ours, won the Lyri­cal Im­pact Award at the Ja­maican PA­JE Me­dia Awards, and picked up two awards at the Gospel Mu­sic Awards of Trinidad and To­ba­go.

Last year, Joseph walked away with two ma­jor prizes at the Caribbean Gospel Mu­sic Mar­lin Awards in The Ba­hamas, where she re­ceived an ad­di­tion­al plaque for her hit sin­gle No Weapon af­ter it spent two weeks at num­ber one on the Next Lev­el Gospel En­ter­tain­ment 868 The Gospel chart on Tem­po.

“I’m very thank­ful for every op­por­tu­ni­ty and every award, be­cause they re­mind me that hard work, faith and con­sis­ten­cy mat­ter,” Joseph said.

“But for me, the great­est re­ward is know­ing that my mu­sic can en­cour­age some­one and point them clos­er to God.”

With Fa­vor, Joseph con­tin­ues to show that her mu­sic is not on­ly about sound­ing good, but say­ing some­thing that can meet peo­ple where they are.

En­joy­ing God’s abun­dant favour, Joseph has been heav­i­ly in­volved in me­dia in­ter­views and per­for­mances, in­clud­ing an ap­pear­ance on CNC3’s Morn­ing Brew on May 8, host­ed by Ja­son “JW” Williams; per­for­mances at the TATIL In­sur­ance Award Cer­e­mo­ny, Point Fortin Cor­po­ra­tion Chris­t­ian Night and Tiffany B Woman’s Con­fer­ence; and prepa­ra­tions for up­com­ing tours: Echoes of Pos­si­bil­i­ty work­shop, sem­i­nar, show­case and live record­ing in Ja­maica (Au­gust), and God of the Is­lands 2026 in Tor­to­la, St Lu­cia, St Vin­cent, Grena­da and Bar­ba­dos (Oc­to­ber–No­vem­ber).

She has al­so been nom­i­nat­ed for In­ter­na­tion­al Fe­male Soloist of the Year for the Texas Gospel Mu­sic Ex­cel­lence Awards 2027.
