Ky’s Magical Adventures: Where the Garbage Goes follows a little girl on her journey to discover where her garbage ends up after she throws it away. The author, Sian Cuffy-Young, hopes that this book will help children realise they can be just like Ky. Each child has an Eco-Hero within themselves, and they possess the power to make a difference by simply putting their garbage in the right place.
Educating children is very important to Cuffy-Young. She believes that school presentations play a significant role in her efforts because, to change a society’s mindset, we must educate its children. The book serves as an excellent interactive teaching tool.
The major purpose of writing this book was to teach and show children that they can do better in protecting the environment and learning about waste management. It is her mission to engage all of our nation’s children in this vital cause.
You too can do your part in making Trinidad and Tobago a cleaner place!
