On Oc­to­ber 14, the Rapid­fire Kidz Foun­da­tion held its An­nu­al Gala Din­ner, “Be­daz­zled”, at the Achie­vor’s Ban­quet Hall in San Fer­nan­do.

The fea­tured speak­er was Pres­i­dent Chris­tine Kan­ga­loo.

The event was the talk of the town, as guests came out in their num­bers, in stun­ning and be­daz­zling out­fits. Among the au­di­ence were the May­or of San Fer­nan­do Robert Par­ris, Miss T&T (Uni­verse) Faith Gillezeau, Sen­a­tor Jayan­ti Lutch­me­di­al, MP Rush­ton Paray, and for­mer min­is­ters Win­ston Dook­er­an and Vas­ant Bharath.

The au­di­ence was treat­ed to a host of en­ter­tain­ers, in­clud­ing Tri­cia Lee Kelshall, An­dré Don­awa, Joel John, and the T&T Break­dance Or­gan­i­sa­tion.

One of the high­lights of the evening was, “Rapid­fire’s Top Su­per­mod­el”, a nov­el­ty item where six guests were ran­dom­ly in­vit­ed on stage to “mod­el”. Mrs Arvin­der Bharath emerged as the win­ner and took away a cham­pagne buck­et.

An­oth­er ex­cit­ing item was a Dutch auc­tion, where a framed, au­to­graphed shirt of Nicholas Pooran was auc­tioned. In just over 20 min­utes $13,200 was raised for the Foun­da­tion. The shirt was even­tu­al­ly won by Prem Sookdeo, own­er of See Vu Op­ti­cal.

Mrs Dawn An­na­mon­thu­do won the spe­cial prize for Best Hair­style.
