Parishioners from the St Philip and St James RC Church in Chaguanas continued their pilgrimage with a visit to Tobago two weekends ago.
The pilgrims, who were joined by teams from Siparia (La Divina Pastora RC Church) and Point Fortin (St Anthony’s RC Church), first made their way to the Piarco International Airport for the early flights to the sister isle on the morning of September 13.
After safely touching down in Crown Point, the pilgrims journeyed by maxi taxis to the St Joseph RC Church in Scarborough.
After a hearty Tobago breakfast, they participated in confession, devotions and the mass, officiated by Father Mathias Mulumba Ssajjabbi and deacon Triston Mathura.
The pilgrims then enjoyed lunch and some family time, which, for some, included visits to the island’s beaches, before returning home.
This was another of the journeys to the eight holy sites across T&T to celebrate the 2025 Jubilee Year. The last journey will see the pilgrims visiting Our Lady of Fatima in Curepe and St Francis of Assisi in Sangre Grande on October 19.
