Parish­ioners from the St Philip and St James RC Church in Ch­agua­nas con­tin­ued their pil­grim­age with a vis­it to To­ba­go two week­ends ago.

The pil­grims, who were joined by teams from Siparia (La Div­ina Pas­to­ra RC Church) and Point Fortin (St An­tho­ny’s RC Church), first made their way to the Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port for the ear­ly flights to the sis­ter isle on the morn­ing of Sep­tem­ber 13.

Af­ter safe­ly touch­ing down in Crown Point, the pil­grims jour­neyed by maxi taxis to the St Joseph RC Church in Scar­bor­ough.

Af­ter a hearty To­ba­go break­fast, they par­tic­i­pat­ed in con­fes­sion, de­vo­tions and the mass, of­fi­ci­at­ed by Fa­ther Math­ias Mu­lum­ba Ssaj­jab­bi and dea­con Tris­ton Mathu­ra.

The pil­grims then en­joyed lunch and some fam­i­ly time, which, for some, in­clud­ed vis­its to the is­land’s beach­es, be­fore re­turn­ing home.

This was an­oth­er of the jour­neys to the eight holy sites across T&T to cel­e­brate the 2025 Ju­bilee Year. The last jour­ney will see the pil­grims vis­it­ing Our La­dy of Fa­ti­ma in Curepe and St Fran­cis of As­sisi in San­gre Grande on Oc­to­ber 19.
