The MWTT Talent competition will assess the performance skills of the already chosen 17 top finalists, creating a platform and a national stage with the girls sharing their talent to the world.
Performances will include song, dance, instruments, steelpan and spoken word.
Nirmal Rampersad, Chairman of D Rampersad & Company Limited stated that the company has a history of not only providing great engineering talent but also has been supporting the development of culture since 1975.
“For the past almost five decades D Rampersad & Company has been a proud sponsor of the Indi-Art Band, which has gained tremendous popularity and success over that time. So, when we got the opportunity to once again support the Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Talent Competition, we took on the project wholeheartedly”, Nirmal stated.
Cross-over artiste Neval B and the multi-award winning D Rampersad Indi-Art band, which birthed the Bissambhar brand of artistes in T&T, and currently led by Akash B under maestro Teddy Bissambhar, will be providing entertainment during the Talent Competition pre-show and at the Miss World T&T Finale.
The versatile band will be performing several genres including Bollywood, chutney, soca, pop, rock, reggae and Latin music.
Charu Lochan Dass, National Pageant Director, said she is ecstatic to have both the Company and the Indi-Art Band on board.
“The collaboration by D Rampersad and the Miss World Pageant was a great fit. They have supported talent and creativity over the years and we are happy to have the company collaborate with the franchise this year. The MWTT Talent Show is designed to not only showcase the talent of our young girls but also help boost their self-esteem, confidence, and persona”, said Lochan Dass.
“Neval B is also one of our upcoming stars and we are also happy to have him perform on his birthday at the Talent Competition and the Band performing at the Finale” she added.
