Hun­dreds gath­ered at the NCIC Na­gar, Ch­agua­nas, on Tues­day to ob­serve Kaal Bhairav Jayan­ti—Rise of the Guardian, host­ed by the Trinidad and To­ba­go Ya­tra Com­mit­tee (TTYC).

The event cre­at­ed a sa­cred space for devo­tees to ho­n­our Kaal Bhairav, one of the most pow­er­ful yet less­er-known man­i­fes­ta­tions of Lord Shi­va. Revered as the mas­ter of time and pro­tec­tor of the uni­verse, Kaal Bhairav em­bod­ies strength, re­silience, and di­vine vig­i­lance. His sym­bol­ism of courage and pro­tec­tion res­onat­ed deeply this year amid T&T’s grow­ing so­cial chal­lenges—re­flect­ed in the theme, Rise of the Guardian.

High­lights of the cel­e­bra­tion in­clud­ed a dis­course by Sad­hivi Anan­damaiy­ee Giri, a renowned spir­i­tu­al leader and or­a­tor on the Ram­char­it­manas and Bha­gavad Gi­ta, along with de­vo­tion­al singing and sa­cred mantra recita­tions.

In­tro­duced to TTYC’s an­nu­al cal­en­dar in 2018, Kaal Bhairav Jayan­ti has since grown in­to one of the or­gan­i­sa­tion’s most an­tic­i­pat­ed events, draw­ing devo­tees from across the na­tion who seek strength, pro­tec­tion, and spir­i­tu­al guid­ance.

The wor­ship of Kaal Bhairav con­tin­ues to ex­pand through­out T&T, with many Shak­ti tem­ples and mandirs em­brac­ing his pres­ence.

In­creas­ing­ly, oth­er spir­i­tu­al or­gan­i­sa­tions are al­so recog­nis­ing his en­er­gy—that of a fierce yet com­pas­sion­ate guardian, need­ed now more than ever in these chal­leng­ing times.
