While registering my husband online, I realized there are some fundamental things one has to pay attention to if you want to get your PIN number and password in a timely manner, otherwise your registration becomes frustrating if all the requirements are not met and you start getting emails from the ticketing system.

Here is how you can navigate the process. Create a folder on your computer to put pictures of the ID cards, headshot with ID card, deed poll (if necessary), birth certificate (if necessary).

Before you even attempt to start the process, you need to prepare the information the registration requires.

· Birth certificate PIN (applicable to nationals of T&T only). Get out your birth certificate. If you cannot be verified by the system, it will ask for your mother’s name which is on the birth certificate.

· Full name and any former name. If there is a name change, make sure you scan the deed poll or other documentation evidencing a change of name. For example, some married women do a deed poll to change from their maiden name to their married name. I did not do this. I have kept my maiden name.

· Nationality at birth and current nationality. If you are a citizen of T&T select citizen of T&T.

· Date of birth

· Gender

· Occupation. Put profession or retired

· Telephone number(s)

· Email address. Use your main email but you will need a second email when creating the company account after you get your PIN and password. Mind you, they still sending emails to the main one despite giving a second email address when they are sending out notices.

· Current residential address and postal address

· The list of companies with which you have an association. This means the companies you are involved in as a director, secretary or assistant secretary. Go to the Name Search on the login page and search for the companies using their correct spelling and take a note of the company identifier number. This is IMPORTANT!

· Upload a copy of your birth certificate. A person will upload their birth certificate only if they have ONE form of ID. If a foreign person is registering, a field will open up where the birth certificate will be uploaded. If that is the case then the person has to take note of the following: If your birth certificate is not in English, you must also provide a translation from a Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs approved translator. The birth certificate and translation must be uploaded as one attachment.

· Two forms of photo ID , eg passport, national ID card or driver’s permit. This is critical. I personally don’t like giving out my passport information to anyone so I always make sure that my driver’s permit and national ID card are up to date. The photos of the ID must be clear. Interestingly, the national ID has two sides but there is only one field. If you can take the two sides and make one photo, I humbly suggest it. You don’t want to send the front only to then receive a ticket telling you to send the back. This will hold up the receiving of your PIN number and passwords for weeks. The photo needs to be less than 100kb else you will get an error message saying that the photo is too large.

· Headshot/selfie which clearly shows one of the submitted forms of photo ID next to your face.

When taking this photo, please ensure that you smile into the camera and the ID is clear so when you open the photo you can comfortably read the information on the ID.

Good luck! Anyone needing further assistance can send me an email.
