In celebration of International Compost Awareness Week (May 2026), Increase Kids Agro World (IKAW Eco Conscious Community) visited two schools, Naparima Girls’ High School and Picton Presbyterian Primary School in San Fernando, to educate children on food waste reduction and (black gold) composting.
This initiative was designed to merge literacy with environmental stewardship, encouraging students across the Victoria Education District and San Fernando to explore the “magic” of composting.
As part of the company’s commitment to agricultural education, the children learned the transformation of organic waste into “black gold,” illustrating how simple actions at home and school can heal the planet.
The team was led by founder Louisea John- Browne and the IKAW ECO HERO.
