Kriya Yoga Meditation can help to alleviate the stress caused by these difficult times.
Swami Purnatmananda Giri will be in T&T from November 2 to 4 to deliver a series of free lectures to the public on Kriya Yoga techniques. Following the lectures would be an initiation programme on November 5 and 6.
Swami Purnatmananda Giri, a monk in the lineage of Kriya Yoga, masters Paramahamsa Hariharananda and Paramahamsa Prajnanananda. Born in India and trained as an industrial engineer, he came to the US and pursued higher education and then worked for over a decade. He was initiated into the sacred path of Kriya Yoga in 1992 and joined the ashram in 2005 to serve his guru and humanity at large.
The Swami said Kriya Yoga was the path towards liberation and can be helpful for individuals to achieve their desires. He said “Kriya Yoga is about the development of the body, mind, and intellect leading to the soul, so if the person wants peace and calmness, that is achievable through Kriya Yoga. If they want good health, that is achievable.” He said for people who are seeking peace and a stress-free life, meditation is the way to do that.
He said the stress of the pandemic, rising food prices, and wars may be a heavy burden for many to bear. “Kriya Yoga brings about calmness and balance in the life of the individual to bring about peace,” he added.

• November 2 — 6.30 pm–7.30 pm–Ancient Science of Kriya Yoga Meditation at the Gasparillo Hindu Mandir, 139 Bonne Aventure Main Road.
• November 3 — 6.30 pm–7.30 pm–Mastering the Mind through Kriya Yoga Meditation at the SWAHA Sukh Shanthi Bhakti Mandali, Warner Street, Freeman Road, St Augustine.
• November 4 — 6 pm–8 pm–The Ancient Science of Kriya Yoga Meditation at the Divine Life Society, Carlsen Field, Chase Village.
• The initiation programme runs from November 5 to 6 at the Divine Life Society, Carlsen Field, Chase Village.
