Dressed as princes and princesses, the pupils of the Class of 2025 at Cedar Grove Private Primary School celebrate their graduation with a dinner and dance at The Arena in San Fernando on Saturday.
The gala dinner, chaired by parent and cricketer Samuel Badree, was a joyous occasion filled with laughter and warmth. His presence brought a lively energy to the evening, making it an unforgettable celebration. It was a memorable night for the children as they looked back on the good times and treasured memories from their nine years at the school.
Alexander Miller-Fakoory said: “One of my favourite memories was when our teacher surprised us by taking us outside to play football during lunchtime.
“It was a hot sunny day, and the entire class was filled with excitement. We ran around the field laughing and cheering, forgetting for a moment that it was the end of an era. The game was not just about scoring goals; it was about friendship, freedom, and creating one more joyful memory.”
Kaeden Amos expressed his gratitude to his parents, saying: “One of the reasons I stand here is because of my hard-working parents. The nine years I spent at Cedar Grove can be described as a roller coaster. Thank you, Daddy, for always teaching me to be resilient during tough times and challenges.”
Kaylee Singh thanked her friends for their support.
“Thank you to my friends for keeping me inspired to never give up. I will never forget the amazing time spent with everyone,” she said
Zariya Addo reflected: “I enjoyed laughing with my friends. Every moment helps shape who we are. I will always remember the fun sports days, class parties, and group projects.”
Caia Green recalled: “One of my most cherished memories is when we were allowed to play in the rain. Our excitement showed how naturally connected we are.”
Sadie-Marie Chandler-Rohansingh: “There were many ups and downs, but I couldn’t imagine experiencing this journey at any other school. I will miss the friends I made and all the memorable moments we shared here.”
Charlize Ragoonath said: “My wonderful nine years at Cedar Grove were always filled with fun, and my teachers were always helpful and caring. I will miss my classmates and the good times we shared.”
Nathan Bridglal added: “At Cedar Grove, we were a family. We were loved and encouraged to dream big because we were meant to shine.”
Sariah Badree said: “When I started my journey at Cedar Grove I was two years and nine months, it was my home away from home”.
The night took an electrifying turn when DJ Saeed made a special appearance, sending the graduating class into a frenzy with their favourite songs and the latest hits. Hype man Shawn Crawford kept the energy alive, ensuring every pupil had a moment to remember.
From showcasing their best dance moves to a spirited boys vs. girls dance-off and a joyful conga line, the celebration was pure magic.
