The fine art of Scotch Whisky tasting and pairing was experienced recently by a select few specially-invited guests at an exclusive and rare Glenmorangie tasting experience hosted by AS Bryden and Sons Limited.
Enchanted by the tranquil ambience at Mille Fleurs, situated at 27 Maraval Road, St Clair (around the Queen’s Park Savannah), guests were treated to a wealth of knowledge and history on the Glenmorangie Single Malt range of Scotch Whiskies as shared by Moët Hennessy’s Market Manager for the Caribbean, Alexandre Helaine.
Additionally, guests enjoyed the fabulous food pairings of 12 by Rishi Restaurant Chef, Rishi Ramoutar, which included the unmistakable all too appetising flavour of fried kingfish with creole sauce jub jub upon entry, along with eggplant lasagna rolls and Murtani butter with pastry pinwheels in the air for starters—delectable appetizers paired with Glenmorangie cocktails followed by paratha pot pie with shrimp and wild hog served polenta as the main course, ending the fare with lemongrass ice cream with scorpion pepper and honey roasted almonds for dessert.
