Alta’s signature event, Readings Under the Trees, returned last Saturday (March 18) after a three-year hiatus.
The Botanic Gardens in Port-of-Spain bloomed with established local authors sharing the stage with emergent readers, all for the joy of reading.

The pause in the event has not hampered its growth, as Readings Under the Trees continues to draw larger audiences with each instalment.
A major event highlight was the inspiring pieces written and delivered by Alta students on the theme, “I am Skilled.”

The Kids’ Tree had scores of youngsters listening intently to children’s literature, with fun and engaging reading activities for variety.
Alta thanks the authors, students and volunteers who continue to make Readings Under the Trees a success. On to next year!
