Women in Action for the Needy and Destitute (WAND) hosted its first Bubbles and Benevolence Tea on June 5 to a sold-out audience of loyal supporters, affectionately known as “WANDIES.”
Held at the charming Freebird venue in south Trinidad, the afternoon was a stunning display of garden chic with guests beautifully dressed in florals and flowing fabrics.
It was a heartwarming celebration of sisterhood, service, and sparkle, filled with laughter, music, and inspiration. Guests were treated to a scrumptious tea buffet and serenaded by the enchanting voice of Krystal Khayne. Popular entertainer MC Rome kept the energy high with interactive games, surprise giveaways, and lots of joyful banter.
The event also marked the official launch of WAND’s newest initiative, Pages of Hope, a programme that places bookcases filled with uplifting, inspiring literature in hospital waiting areas. The first installation will be unveiled at Augustus Long Hospital, offering patients and families a source of comfort and encouragement during challenging times.
In a moment of excitement and anticipation, president Amanda Jardine invited attendees to log on to WAND’s social media pages and block their calendars for the final two events of the year, Denim & Diamonds and their Christmas Lunch, promising more unforgettable moments and impactful initiatives to come.
Bubbles and Benevolence not only highlighted WAND’s mission of compassion and community care—it reaffirmed the belief that together, women can change lives.
