Sun­day’s GBM Nu­tron Sol of So­ca: Rid­dims of Car­ni­val at Sound­Forge in Port-of-Spain was a vi­brant kick­off to the 2026 Trinidad Car­ni­val sea­son, draw­ing so­ca lovers out in full force. The event, which ran from late af­ter­noon in­to the night, show­cased GBM Nu­tron & Band live, backed by an en­er­getic line­up of spe­cial guest artistes and a sound­track filled with the lat­est rid­dims and Car­ni­val an­thems. The en­er­gy was elec­tric as the au­di­ence soaked up pul­sat­ing so­ca beats, cel­e­bra­to­ry vibes, and that un­mis­tak­able So­ca Car­ni­val spir­it that sets the tone for the road and fetes ahead. At­ten­dees en­joyed a mix of live per­for­mances and crowd-pleas­ing rid­dims that echoed through Sound­Forge, blend­ing tra­di­tion­al so­ca rhythms with con­tem­po­rary car­ni­val sounds.
