Since opening its doors in 2005 SuperPharm has continued to deliver on its promise of professional and trusted pharmaceutical dispensing as well as a comfortable and convenient customer environment. On October 1, SuperPharm expanded various categories in their stores which include the men’s section, the baby section, food on the go section and the Home Health Care Area.

The Home Health Care Centre is geared towards diagnostics, mobility and bathroom safety products. Launched at their Valsayn, Price Plaza, Trincity, West Moorings, and Gulf View locations, it coincided with the United Nations International Day for Older Persons.

Here you will find blood pressure machines, blood sugar testing machines and respiratory devices. For mobility; wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and crutches. For bathroom safety; grab bars, elevated toilet seats, and commodes. In addition, the centre carries items for incontinence like adult diapers specifically the Nateen Brand, which is carried exclusively at SuperPharm.

Senior Citizens have been enjoying discounts every Tuesday at SuperPharm with their Senior Citizens discount card, introduced in 2007. All seniors 60 and over enjoy 10% off items throughout the entire store every Tuesday at all branches.

“Trinidad is an ageing society; the last figures from the Central Statistical Office taken in 2010 indicate that 12% of our population is over the age of 60. The United Nations project that by the year 2025, it is going to be 17%. The ageing population is growing, so we at SuperPharm want to make sure that we are serving that segment of people properly,” said Category Manager for Pharmaceuticals and Health Care, Danielle Gale.

In addition, SuperPharm continues to offer services that offer real value to their customers. Like the drive-thru service, convenient parking as well as WhatsApp services to have prescriptions done before time. There is always a pharmacist on duty as long as the pharmacy is open. The layout of the stores provides the customer with touch and feel access to a wide variety of products in a comfortable shopping environment, which provides them with the time and information to select the products best suited to their needs.

From SuperPharm’s inception, one major goal has been and continues to be, to raise the bar of providing pharmacy services in Trinidad and Tobago.

“We believe that we have done that with the quality of our pharmacists, the layout of our stores, the level of service we provide. We believe that we have led the way in terms of delivering high-end pharmacy services to the country in our 14 years of existence,” added Gale.

As SuperPharm continues to grow, there are plans to provide more health care services to the market in the future. With the month of November carded to be Diabetes Awareness Month, the pharmacy will be having a diabetes education consultant visiting each store throughout the month. This will be available to all customers.
