One of the Caribbean’s leading creative impresarios and pageant gurus Richard Young officially launches The Young Guild—a transformative training centre and speciality event space—today at The Shoppes of Maraval, at 6 pm.
The Young Guild is a bold, visionary platform designed to nurture creative excellence, personal power, and professional charisma. Offering capstone training courses in fashion presentation, pageant coaching, runway dynamics, brand identity, production design, customer service best practices, and personal image management, this centre is unlike anything the Caribbean has seen before.
Young, the mastermind behind the poise, presence, and polished performance of many of Trinidad and Tobago’s brightest stars, now brings his decades of experience to this curated space. His distinctive approach—a blend of Caribbean storytelling, stagecraft, and disciplined artistry—has shaped the journeys of numerous national and international titleholders, including:
Aché Abrahams, 2nd runner-up Miss World 2024
Tya Jané Ramey, Miss World Caribbean 2019, Miss Universe 2022 - Top 16
Jeanine Brandt, Miss World 2021 - Top 40
Anna-Lise Nanton, Miss World Trinidad & Tobago 2025

Athaliah Samuel, Miss World Trinidad and Tobago 2012, Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago 2024 - 2nd runner-up
At its core, The Young Guild is a space of transformation and refinement — where raw talent meets high-level mentorship and creative strategy. Whether you’re aspiring to walk international runways, ace media interviews, captivate boardrooms, or cultivate personal excellence, this is where your journey begins.
In addition to immersive capstone training, The Young Guild doubles as a dynamic creative venue, ideal for hosting speciality events, high-fashion showcases, entrepreneurial workshops, networking salons, and brand activations. Business partner Marie Bermudez-Hinkson is particularly exhilarated by the prospects of the Guild for engaging, interactive and alternative event-making.
“It’s all a matter of performance,” says Richard Young. “Whether you’re commanding a stage, pitching an idea, or simply showing up for yourself, how you perform matters. The Young Guild is about helping you own that moment with style, substance, and self-assurance.”
