Two more people have died of COVID-19 in Tobago in the past 24 hours, bringing the total COVID-related deaths to 13.
According to the Division of Health, Wellness, and Family Development, two women ages 48 and 80 with comorbidities died on Sunday.
The release said there are three new reported cases of the virus, and six people were discharged, bringing the total active cases to 163.
It also said 509 samples have tested positive on the island since testing began in March last year.
Reporting on the vaccines, the division said 5,254 persons received their first dose and 111 their second dose.
The division is again reminding people with flu-like symptoms to stay at home and call the COVID hotline at 800- heal or 800- 4325.
It is also reminding to sneeze in disposal tissue or elbow, wash hands, sanitise, social distance, and wear masks.
