The Un­der­cov­er Cool­er Fete took place at Drew Manor in San­ta Cruz last Sat­ur­day, draw­ing a live­ly crowd of so­ca and Car­ni­val en­thu­si­asts ea­ger to kick off the short­ened Car­ni­val sea­son.

The event, brand­ed as a cool­er fete with an eco-friend­ly vibe and themed “Blue Mor­pho Edi­tion,” saw pa­trons gath­er from the evening in­to the ear­ly hours, with mu­sic, food ven­dors and lo­cal DJs set­ting the tone for what many de­scribed on so­cial me­dia as a spir­it­ed start to the 2026 car­ni­val build-up.

Thou­sands turned up in a fes­tive mood, em­brac­ing the un­der­cov­er con­cept of cel­e­brat­ing Trinidad’s rich cul­tur­al en­er­gy in a slight­ly more in­ti­mate set­ting than the mas­sive sta­di­um events of pre­vi­ous years.
